How To…an Infographic

April 2, 2018-This is a really cool how-to infographic on creating epic characters. The info below is something that doesn’t need to be told to the reader, but rather, the writer should know these things about their character so that it will naturally bleed into their writing.  Pick bits and pieces that you want to share and leave the rest to the reader’s imagination. The more you know about your character, the better and more invested your readers will be!

The Great Agatha Christie!

March 30, 2018- Last November while our friend Alan was visiting from England, the movie Murder on the Orient Express came out. It was based on the book of the same title, by author Agatha Christie. I hadn’t really read or followed her work before this, to be honest, although I had heard much about her. We bought the book and then saw the movie-both were terrific, but for me personally, I enjoyed the book more…it’s always that way for me:) I found this really cool fact about Agatha and just had to share. She continues to astound me with her writing and personal life. I know I’m a little late, but now, I will always be a fan!

Submissions Are OPEN!

March 24, 2018- Submissions are now open for Pandamonium Publishing House! If you want to submit your work, please follow the instructions below. If you do not follow the instructions, your work will not be reviewed or responded to.

I am now accepting submissions of fiction for all ages.

  • Please send a synopsis of your work (include the ending of the book) and please make it one page only. A synopsis is a brief summary of your book.
  • Please include the first five pages of your manuscript pasted into the BODY of your e-mail. I won’t open attachments unless they are from a trusted source.
  • Please allow 4-12 weeks for a response from me as this allows me the much needed time to accurately address your manuscript. I will send you a response either way via e-mail so remember to include your contact information!
  • Please don’t take anything personally. Sometimes I reject manuscripts for different reasons, maybe we’re at our maximum publishing quota for the year, maybe the story isn’t a great fit for our publishing house, perhaps there are too many errors within the manuscript. Whatever the reason, please don’t take it personally. Keep submitting and keep trying!

To send me a submission of your work following the guidelines above, e-mail me at pandapublishing8@gmail.com and include SUBMISSION in the subject line. I look forward to reading your submissions.

How Much Romance Do You Need in Your Life?

March 21, 2018- How much romance does one need? For me…not so much. I’m not a fan of the genre in a Harlequin sense, but I do enjoy the occasional cozy romance for a fun, easy read to cleanse my mind of the murders I read and write:) But, if Romance is your thing, check out the cheat sheet below for a sure fire way to stay on track. All genres follow some sort of template in regards to what happens when, and Romance is no exception! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below:) Keep writing!
