Dear Lacey, I want to thank you and Alex for helping me achieve my goal of publishing The Adventures of Carlos: Carlos Goes on Vacation. Thank you for your encouragement as well as for being there for me every step of the way. I will never forget the thrill of seeing my very first published book!

Lacey, Working with you has been an absolute pleasure, and I am so glad that our paths crossed! Making the investment to contract with Pandamonium Publishing House to self-publish my children’s book was a big decision, but it was also the best decision I made! Your professionalism, mentoring and guidance in publishing The Adventures of Carlos were impressive! As
you indicated in our early conversations, the goal of purchasing your firm’s marketing package is to teach the author how to self publish for immediate and future projects as well as the handling the book illustration process; not only did I learn and gain invaluable knowledge of the publishing world, but it also helped me develop some confidence in a field I knew nothing
about. Being a savvy and successful entrepreneur is surrounding yourself with highly competent individuals; Pandamonium Publishing House delivers on that!

Alex, My sincere thanks for making The Adventures of Carlos look so amazing! The way you captured the character of Carlos and brought him to life in the story was pure magic! I feel so fortunate to have had the pleasure of having you illustrate this story; I hope that we can work together again on the next book in the series, Carlos Goes to the Hospital.

It has been such a great experience working with you both! Thank you for welcoming me into your world at Pandamonium Publishing as well as that of published authors!
Sincerely,
Joanne

Thankful

October 9, 2020– As Canadians, we celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend. I certainly have a lot to be thankful for, and as I reflect on how fortunate I am, I hope you will do the same with your own introspection. Please remember,  some people won’t be surrounded by their families at Thanksgiving; some will be missing from tables because they’re no longer with us, others won’t be present because of familial tensions, and some can’t be in attendance because of obligations at work. Others will be alone because they have no family or close friends.  Remember those who are less fortunate and those who are struggling. Don’t just remember them, though; I urge you to spread kindness this weekend and always, to make a difference in the life of one person. All it takes is one small act by each of us to change things for the better.

I’m grateful for the nights that turned into mornings, the friends that turned into family, and for dreams that turned into reality. I’m grateful for my team, for my health and for being able to do what I love every day. I’m grateful for the people that love and support me and for those who push me to be better. I’m grateful for the unconditional love of my pets and for my wonderful nephews and niece.  And I am so grateful for each one of you.

From all of us at Pandamonium Publishing House, we’d like to wish you and yours a very safe and happy Thanksgiving. X LLB

November 18th is High-Five a Librarian Day!

November 16, 2018– This year, November 18 falls on a Sunday where most libraries are closed, but that’s no reason not to celebrate this super cool day a couple of days early.

Let’s face it, librarians are akin to superheroes…in my book anyway, no pun intended. The amount of help that they have provided me over the years is staggering; from finding reference books for research purposes, or recommending the next best thriller, to having me as a guest speaker at an event that they’ve organized, I take my hat off to them for all of their excellent service and knowledge. Thank you for everything.

It saddens me that where we are, librarians are being phased out in schools and there’s no such thing as a library anymore, it’s been replaced with something called a learning commons. I remember as a student relishing in the days that we got to go to the library to pick our books and the magic that the choosing entailed. Our librarian would read us a story before we chose our books and that was the best part of the day. It’s terrible that kids won’t experience this anymore as cutbacks and the bottom line seem to be the topic of conversation in the school system these days.

My elementary school librarian fostered my love of reading and perhaps subconsciously, she added to my desire to be an author and to be surrounded by books at all times.

So, today, tomorrow, and on Monday, be sure to high-five your favourite librarian! They deserve to be appreciated each day of the year, but especially today.

Obsessed with Her…Countdown to Release, 55 Days!

October 31, 2017- It’s official, there are 55 days until the release of my newest book, Obsessed with Her. This is definitely not a book for kids, but is a psychological thriller for grown-ups! We’ve got to have our own fun, right?

Obsessed with Her has been in the works for a year and so much has gone into it. I’ve had tons of help along the way from some exceptional consultants, including my Beta Group readers and the wonderful officers from the Toronto Homicide Unit. There are so many people to thank and acknowledge for allowing this book to come to life!

I’ve decided to write this book, and all of my thrillers going forward, under the pen name, L.L. Colling but rest assured, it’s still me. Sometimes authors like to separate their works and genres by writing under a pen name, and I’ve decided to do the same.

I’ll keep you posted on any developments such as a potential pre-release and any other exciting info that will be coming up in the weeks that follow.
