Positioning Strategy
A strong manuscript still needs to be positioned properly.
Positioning is about understanding what your book is really about, who it is for, where it fits, what the hook is, and how to talk about it in a way that makes sense to literary agents and the traditional publishing market. This may include feedback on your hook, genre, category, reader promise, book concept, query letter, synopsis, pitch, opening pages, or submission strategy.
A book can be beautifully written and still be difficult to query if the positioning is unclear. My job is to help make the book easier to understand, easier to talk about, and stronger before it is sent out.
Developmental Editing
Developmental editing is for writers who are ready to strengthen the manuscript itself.
This is deeper editorial work that looks at structure, pacing, scene purpose, character motivation, emotional movement, story logic, and the overall reader experience. The goal is not to change your voice. The goal is to help the manuscript become clearer, stronger, and more effective before you query or move into the next stage of editing.
